Many thanks to all the club members who turned out to support our heroes. We can’t let Governor Gavin Newsom close this facility. It is wrong for him balance the budget on the backs of our veterans especially when there are som many programs of debatable value.

It was a great turn out today. The unofficial count was more than 400 Motorcycles and in excess of 1,700 other vehicles. This is a great start. Now we need to call, e-mail and write the Governor and the State Assembly to keep the pressure on!

Thanks again for the great club support for this worthy cause!

Past Trail Rides & Events Reports / May 17th Ice Cream Run
Last post by Jeepin Klean - May 21, 2020, 05:30:52 PM
Sorry it took so long to post this; busy week. Though our group was small on Sunday, we had a really great day on the trail. The wind wasn't our friend, but we had plenty of sunshine and perfect temps. The trail was in pretty good shape and the overgrowth was actually less than a month ago. We made a few stops along the way to take in the views (one overlook of the San Gabriel Mts to the west, one of Silverwood and the desert to the north, and Monument Peak) and leisurely took in the scenery along the trail, so a return trip on the trail wasn't in the cards. We still had time for some delicious frozen treats though and it was really great getting out with people to enjoy a beautiful day.

You should consider post your build progress and photos under Builds on the main page.

That is every "nut and bolt".  Typing on an iPhone is always frustrating.......... :D

Good to take your time anyway. Not only conserves energy but reduces frustration level too.  Also helps prevent mistakes and gives you time to double check every nit and bolt.

Nice to freshen up some things when you have and oldie. I already did a 2” budget boost and took it out a few times but spacers and shackles just made the ride horrible. Did keep the hitch off the ground a lil better then before. Should have front axle work done tomorrow. Still waiting on parts deliveries but i can only do so much at a time anyhow.

I just completed an overhaul of the suspension on my 93YJ. New leaf springs, bushings, spring plates, U-bolts, pinion alignment wedges and shocks (still waiting for the front shocks to arrive).  I also replaced the lower steering column bearing and intermediate steering shaft. I then topped the work off with a new set of tires.  The old gal rides like new. Not like a 2020 Jeep but like a new 93 Jeep. 😜

I have been collecting parts for the last six months. The only good thing about the stay at home order is it gave me plenty of time to complete the project.

Good luck with your project!
